Gather & Grow

Gather & Grow is a FUN, interactive, multi-generational class on Wednesday evenings during the school year, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, designed for all ages (both young and old) to learn from the Bible together. Elements of the evening include a Meal, Music, Bible Lesson, Activities, Scripture Memory, Missions Moment, Prayer, and Fun!

The Gospel Project, a three-year curriculum that spans from creation to Christ’s return, is used for the Bible lessons. Each lesson teaches how every story in the Bible is a small piece of the Big Story of God’s Love to the World in providing salvation.

Because the lesson is taught at an upper elementary / middle school level, all Kindergarteners, Preschoolers, and Babies are invited to gather after the meal in the Nursery for age-appropriate activities.

Cost: The suggested donation for the Meal is $5 per person with a maximum of $15 per family (immediate family only).

Dietary Restrictions: Questions about a specific menu item can be addressed to the ladies heading up the meal preparations, led by Eleanor Regualos. Those with dietary restrictions are always welcome to bring their own food and join with everyone at the tables.

Paying for The Meal: Payment can be made weekly, monthly, every two months, etc. — whatever works best with your budget and cash flow. Payment can be made in a variety of ways:

  • Designated Envelopes, along with a collection basket, will be available at the food line each Wednesday evening.
  • Designated envelopes are also on the Media Table in the Church Lobby and in the brochure rack near the Blessings Café. You can drop the filled envelopes in the Offering box in the Church Lobby or in the designated Gather & Grow collection drop box located on the wall next to the brochure rack by the Blessings Café.
  • Mark the Special line on your Offering Envelope with “Gather & Grow” and include it with your tithes and offerings.
  • Mail a designated payment to the church.
Additional Resources Available to Individuals / Families

There are several Resources to help individuals and families reinforce the learning and encourage you to dig deeper into the Bible lessons.

  • Social Media: Calvary’s Facebook pages are utilized to remind you of that week’s lesson, the current Memory Verse, and the Big Picture idea for the Units of study. In addition, the Calvary’s Kids’ Facebook page provides parents with more ideas / resources for that week’s lesson. And, on each Sunday, a short and engaging video of the same Bible lesson is posted to the Kids’ Facebook page.
  • Preschool / Kindergarten Kids’ Sunday classes: The Bible lesson that was taught on the previous Wednesday is taught in the Pre-School / Kindergarten Class at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings to our Pre-School and Kindergarten kids. They have the same lesson, learn the same Big Picture idea, and have the same Memory verse (might be abbreviated for their learning level) as the rest of the church family.
