Blessings Offering for CityLinC

The Blessings Offerings given during the month of April 2026 are designated for CityLinC, a ministry in our local community, which, according to its website, “connects children and youth to loving families, families to secure futures, individuals to caring community, and community to personal faith. We do this through our foster care and adoption program, our mentor program for parolees, and our community connections events and services, which help build positive relationships in our community.”

Calvary’s missionary, Mike Howard, serves as the Chaplain for CityLinC, using the ministry’s Mentor House to meet with 50-60 people a week in life skills classes, substance abuse recovery coaching, anger management training, personal counseling, GED tutoring, and spiritual support. According to CityLinC’s Facebook page, the Mentor House is the weekend and holiday accountability site for Drug Court, Sobriety Court, and Mental Health Treatment Court. CityLinC calls its unique approach as “Relational Mentoring.”

One of CityLinC’s ministries is the annual Stuff-A-Bus school supplies collection in which Calvary has been participating for many years as one of the drop-off sites.

Blessings Offerings are designated for a ministry outside of Calvary Baptist Church. For your convenience, designated Blessings Offering envelopes are available on top of the Giving Box in the Church Lobby. Blessing Offerings can also be given by using the “Special” line on an offering envelope, by choosing “Blessings Offerings” on the church APP or online giving website, or by mailing in a designated gift to the church.

Thanks for giving generously!
