The Blessings offerings for August 2026 are designated for the Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to provide simple, decent, affordable housing for those who would not be able to afford to buy a home through conventional means. Battle Creek Habitat has been building and rehabbing homes in Calhoun County for more than 30 years. The Habitat Restore helps to fund the organization.

The families that purchase these homes have to provide 500 hours of “sweat equity” where they learn construction skills, financial education, and take personal ownership of their home. The homeowners also develop good friendships with the volunteers who build their homes, and this time together is an opportune time to share the Gospel with them. Work days always begin with prayer and often a devotional.

Blessings Offerings are designated for a ministry outside of Calvary Baptist Church. For your convenience, designated Blessings Offering envelopes are available on top of the Giving Box in the Church Lobby. Blessing Offerings can also be given by using the “Special” line on an offering envelope, by choosing “Blessings Offerings” on the church APP or online giving website, or by mailing in a designated gift to the church.
