This week’s highlighted missionaries are Dan and Carol Cook. The Cooks serve with ABWE in Recife, Brazil.

In their May 2026 Newsletter, the Cooks gave an update on the two churches at which they have been serving. “We are grateful for the progress in both of the churches in which we have been involved. Our new church plant, Redemption Baptist, continues to blossom with new visitors showing up every weekend. After two years, we are over one hundred members and have just begun a second service on Sundays due to our limited space. Pray that God would provide a new location that the church might be able to purchase.”

“Koinonia Baptist is showing signs of revival and renewed interest in the hearts of its members. The pastoral search committee is close to inviting a new pastor. This is perfect timing as Dan has just ended his interim pastoral position as our furlough is upon us.”
